The Construction Industry

Construction and building sites are changing rapidly, and new technology is being introduced, and tested. Robots already have huge functionality capabilities and within the next couple of years we will see more and more robots undertaking tasks that were perviously carried out by their human colleagues as construction projects become more digitized. This will keep their human colleagues safe from hazardous environments, solve some of the labour shortages, and allow humans to focus in more specialised areas while the robots can do more of the heavy lifting.

R&D Projects

As change takes place and boundaries are stretched with technological advancements through research and development, new types of robots with new functionality are introduced and stress tested. Robots on wheels (AMR – autonomous mobile robot)

Our expertise in mobile robots spans a wide range of applications. We are involved in design, building , programming and deployment of robots, which are controlled by a central computer or a series of processing units and based on received video information feeds.

Autonomous movement

We develop autonomous mobile robots that function on a fully automated basis. This includes them being able to detect obstacles, determine their position at all times, and navigate unaided under their own power around construction sites. We use OpenCV and SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) technologies to create maps of the environment, track the robot’s location and enable autonomous movement.
